SEFTON PARK
This tree is not special to me on its own. It’s just one of many trees that live in Sefton Park, just around the corner from where I live. However, in the past 10 months or so, as the pandemic has taken hold, the park has become my main area of escape. A place to walk, exercise, see some wildlife and do some people watching. I’ve covered nearly every bit of the park, in all weathers and watched the seasons change. This tree, stripped of leaves as winter began in earnest, stood out starkly against the sky and for me represents all that the park has to offer the people of Liverpool as we find our way through these ‘interesting times’.
