We’re Khushi and Noor and we volunteer at Asylum Link Merseyside, a charity that helps forced migrants to access their rights to refuge and to support their wellbeing during the process.

We work in the clothes store sorting and presenting donated used clothing for the service users. The store satisfies the basic need for clothing but also provides a shopping experience for a group who live in very deprived circumstances.

Noor: I chose the underpants because it brought home the basic need for clothing that we all share in equal measure regardless of our origins and status.

Khushi: I chose the jumper because it folds around me like a blanket and makes me feel warm, comfortable and safe.
