In recent years, I’ve begun sampling and photographing the shadows in my garden as markers of time and signs of a hidden landscape. After my father’s death, some trees were cut down because they were diseased, but some mornings the shadows remind us of their presence. This long-term project is a collection of small, medium, and large-format analog photographs; sometimes I work directly with the plants through phytograms.
