About This Project

I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder and depression.

“In the Moment” is a series of self-portraits taken with an instant camera. I started this project as a form of self-art-therapy. The pictures capture my emotions at the moment I experience them. It is a way to cope with bouts of anxiety and panic attacks. During the shooting, I completely disconnected from my suffering. The instant camera has become a lifebuoy. This series was a way to get to know myself and also the first step toward therapy.
