I chose the Dashiki t-shirt/tunic to acknowledge the fact that I am a product of the African diaspora here in Liverpool the oldest and continuous Black community in Europe.

When I wear it,it is a declaration of pride in my West African heritage and it makes me feel connected to the ‘Motherland’.

If money was no object and I could live without restriction I would live each year half in Liverpool, the other half in West Africa.
