I’m a 25-year-old mixed-race transgender man, born and raised in Liverpool. Being part of the LGBTQ+ community here feels meaningful to me because I’ve seen how much the city has grown in acceptance and visibility over the years. Liverpool has a strong sense of pride and community, and for the most part, I feel accepted and supported as I go about my daily life. There are still moments where I’m conscious of how people might perceive me,  but overall, I feel safe and proud to call this city home. The warmth and resilience of both  Liverpool and its LGBTQ+ community make it a place where I can be myself and continue to grow.
