RESIDENTS BY MING DE NASTY
JESSIE
I’m 33, I live in Wavertree and am a gay, queer, lesbian.
Until I moved to Liverpool, I didn’t understand the concept of home. Now I look around and couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be.
I moved to Liverpool from a place where the homophobia I experienced was emotional, verbal and physical. I didn’t think a world existed where I didn’t have to watch my back or I could be my authentic self. Moving here opened my eyes to what can be. No place is perfect, but what I can say is Liverpool stands up, Liverpool supports and Liverpool loves.
