The contrast between sunlight and shadow is what draws my eye when I’m out with the camera. These images were, with one exception, all taken in Nice, France, since I moved there permanently from the United States in May 2025. The density of the city and its narrow lanes and roads help shape light and shadow. The slant of light in the mornings and evenings add to the drama.
